The Events feature allows you to promote workshops, group sessions, or any other clinic events directly on your website. This guide walks you through creating an event, and shows you how to display your events so patients can see them easily.
Before you start
You'll need Admin access to your Jane Website to create and manage events.
How to Create an Event
The steps below show you how to create a new event to Jane Websites.
- After logging into your Jane Websites account, select Admin > Content in the top right corner of your site.
- Scroll until you reach Events on the left-hand menu.
- Click the Add Event button to add an event.
- Enter your event title, and any other relevant information (eg. subtitle, location information, etc).
- Optional: You can associate the event with one of your services. This is helpful if the event is directly related to a specific offering at your clinic.
- Next, set the date and time for your event. You can choose to make it an all-day event or select specific start and end times.
- In the body section, add the details for your event. This is where you can include a description, schedule, or any other important notes for attendees. You can also add images, links, and videos within the body section.
- Scrolling down, you can upload additional images and a video file to support your event. You can also add file downloads for things like printable flyers, or waiver forms that your attendees might need.
- Click Save Event button to save your progress. Your event is now live and ready to be displayed
How to Display Events Using the Events Block
You can feature upcoming events on your homepage or any other page using an Events block.
- Navigate to the page where you want to display your events.
- Click the Add Block button on the left-hand side of your page.
- Select Events from the block options. The block will now automatically display your upcoming events.
- Optional: To customize how the block looks, click the Edit Block button on the right hand side.
How to Add Events to Your Main/Navigation Menu
You can add a direct link to your Events page in your website's main navigation menu.
- Click Admin > Menus in the top right corner of your page.
- Click the Add Link button and give it a label, such as Clinic Events.
- Under Link To dropdown, select your Events page.
- Click the Save Link button to save your progress.
- Next, drag the Events page to your preferred position in the main/navigation menu order. You can refresh your page to confirm the menu reflects the updated order.
And there we go! Your events have been created and are easy for patients to view, whether they come across them on a page or navigate directly from your main navigation menu.
Note
If an event has passed its end date, it will no longer appear in the Events block.
