Connecting Google Analytics to your website lets you track visitor behaviour, monitor traffic sources, and better understand how patients are finding and using your site. This guide walks you through exactly where to add your Google Analytics tracking ID so you can start gathering insights right away.

Before you start

You'll want to be logged in as an Admin into Jane Websites and you should have your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Measurement ID ready to copy. You can find your Google Measurement ID using the guide on How To find your Google tag ID here

How to Add Google Analytics to Your Website

You can connect Google Analytics to your site directly from your admin settings. Here's how to find the Google Analytics field and add your tracking ID.

  1. After logging into your Jane Websites account, select Admin > Settings in the top right corner of your site.
  2. In the left-hand sidebar, scroll down and click Google Analytics.
  3. Paste your GA4 Measurement ID into the field provided.
  4. Click Save Analytics to save your progress.

You're all set! Your Google Analytics tracking is now connected to your site. You can head over to your Google Analytics account to confirm data is coming through.

Note

The Google Analytics field in your site settings is designed specifically for a GA4 tracking ID. For Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixels, or any other longer code snippets, always use the Sitewide JS + SEO section instead.
