Updated July 1st, 2026

Your contact page is not typically a high-traffic SEO page, but it plays an important role for patients who are already ready to act. It needs to make booking as frictionless as possible once a patient arrives at the page. This guide walks you through the SEO setup your contact page needs and the content that makes the patient book.

Before you start

You'll need Admin access to your Jane Websites dashboard to make these changes. Before you start, have your clinic address, phone number, hours of operation, booking link, and accepted insurance or payment methods ready to add to the page.

How to Set Your Contact Page Title

Your contact page title should be direct and specific, as patients landing here are ready to act, and your title should confirm they are in the right place.

  1. Once you're logged in to Jane Websites, click the pencil icon in the top left-hand corner, then click Page SEO Settings.
  2. If the fields are blank, click the Generate SEO with AI button to get a helpful starting point, then customize from there.
  3. In the Page Title field, type your title using this formula:
Contact [Clinic Name] | Book [Service] in [Location] or Contact & Booking at [Clinic Name] in [Location]
For example: "Book Your Appointment at Whole Mind Wellness in Ottawa."
  4. Avoid vague titles like "Contact Us" or “Schedule Your Visit”. These type of titles do not tell Google or the patient anything specific about your clinic.
  5. Keep your title between 50 and 60 characters.
  6. Click the Save Settings button to save your progress.

How to Set Your Contact Page Meta Description

Your contact page meta description should make it immediately clear how to book, where you are, and what to expect when a patient arrives. Keep your description between 150 and 160 characters.

  1. Once you're logged in to Jane Websites, click the pencil icon in the top left-hand corner, then click Page SEO Settings.
  2. If the fields are blank, click the Generate SEO with AI button to get a helpful starting point, then customize from there.
  3. Add your Meta description using this formula:
Book your appointment at [Clinic Name] in [Location]. [Booking methods: online, phone, or email]. [Hours]. [Insurance or accessibility information]
For example: "Schedule your therapy session in Ottawa. Book online, call (613) 555-0123, or email us. Located downtown with free parking. Direct billing available."
  4. Click Save Settings to save your progress.

You're good to go! Your contact page is now set up to rank for branded searches and convert the patients who land on it. With your booking information front and centre, there is nothing standing between a patient finding your page and booking their first appointment.

Note

Your contact page is not designed to rank for high-volume searches the way your homepage or service pages are. Its job is to rank for branded searches and convert the patients who are already looking for you, so focus on making the booking experience as smooth as possible.
