How to delete or archive a page on your website

When it comes to removing content from your site, the steps you take depend on what type of page you are deleting. This guide walks you through how to delete a standard page, how to clean up your menu after deleting a page, and how to correctly remove or archive programs from your Services section.
 

How to Delete a Page

You can remove any standard, non-Jane syncing page from your site directly from the Content section.

1. Once you're logged, click Admin in the top right corner of your site, then click Content from the dropdown menu.
2. Select Pages from the left hand menu. 
3. Hover over the page you want to delete.
4. Click the circle with the three dots on the right.
5. Click Delete to remove the page.

How to Remove the Page from Your Menu

After deleting a page, you will also want to remove any menu links pointing to it. If you skip this step, anyone who clicks that link will land on a 404 error page instead of your content.

1. Once you're logged, click Admin in the top right corner of your site, then click Menus from the dropdown menu.
2. Hover over the menu item that was linking to the page you just deleted.
3. Click the circle with the three dots on the right.
4. Click Delete to remove the link from your menu.

How to Remove a Program (Discipline) Page

Programs pages (Discipline pages) that are synced from Jane need to be handled differently from standard pages. If you delete a Jane-synced program, the overnight sync will bring it back, assuming it was removed by mistake. Instead, you will want to archive it.

1. Once you're logged, click Admin in the top right corner of your site, then click Content from the dropdown menu.
2. Click Programs in the left-hand sidebar.
3. Hover over the Jane Synced program you want to remove. You can tell the difference by checking whether there is a Jane logo next to the program name.
4. Click the circle with the three dots on the right.
5. Click Archive, instead of Delete. You will see an eye with a slash through it appear next to the program, confirming it has been archived and is no longer visible on your site.
6. Optional: If the program was not synced from Jane, you can delete it outright. You'll make sure there is is no Jane logo next to the program name, then click the circle with the three dots on the right and click Delete to remove the page.

You're good to go! Your page has been removed, your menu is updated, and your Services section reflects only what you want patients to see.
